The Historic Lowry House is the perfect venue for your special day. On the National Register of Historic Places, this lovely home offers a perfect balance between old world charm and modern convenience. The elegantly decorated interior contains beautiful antiques; the outdoor area offers a large, beautifully landscaped award winning yard.
At The Historic Lowry House, we provide you an unparalleled personal experience; accordingly, whether you decide on a small family event or a gala wedding, we will do our best to accommodate your needs. We want you to feel pampered on this special day.
Ceremonies may be held indoors or out. Both offer plenty of room for chairs and tables. Inside, the antique pieces are strategically placed to allow your guests a beautiful, yet unobtrusive area in which to mingle. The outdoor area offers plenty of room for larger weddings. At the front of the home is a long porch containing several rocking chairs. The yard is filled with many beautiful flowering plants and plenty of shade. The back of the home has a large level yard with a perfectly manicured lawn, and a gazebo complete with chandelier. Many brides choose to string sparkling lights from it in order to serve as a stunning backdrop for photographs, a band, or even a first dance. The backyard also includes a wrought iron arbor. During the evening, plenty of lighting illuminates the front and back yards as well as the parking areas.
The Historic Lowry House permits you to choose your own caterer, entertainment package, and choice of beverages including alcoholic as well as non alcoholic drinks. Your wedding and reception will be designed and planned by you or your bridal consultant in order to make it a unique one of a kind celebration.
The home and grounds together hold up to 250 people. The interior area will comfortably fit 50 - 75 guests.
A wedding planner will work with you from your first appointment to your wedding day. At The Historic Lowry House, our specialty is personal service.

The Historic Lowry House is centrally located in Huntsville, Alabama a few blocks off of I565 or Memorial Parkway making it's location ideal for any out of town guests.. Additionally, we are happy to provide you a list of local hotels, caterers, photographers, musicians, florists and wedding planners.
